Well, well, well!
We have a visitor today, friends. And it's a big visitor.
Some of you might recognize Workshop from the enamel pin campaign early this year, but Workshop's design was actually crafted for next May's Goblin's Tarot. The Goblin's Tarot is my standard 72-card tarot deck that follows the Publishing Goblin's journey of giving up their divinity to live among the mortals of the world of Ajurea, leading a fulfilling and finite life among those who know how to live, rather than a divine life separate and above the mortals.
The deck is actually complete for that project already-- has been for months. It will be my most affordable tarot deck ever, with the intent that it's a great starter deck for people new to tarot, and so it can power some games I want to make that run on tarot decks.
But for us with our oracle dice, Workshop is approaching as its own Lord. Its die is focused on home. Something the other oracle dice never truly walk through. Let's look at the faces this die will give us on a brass and gold die with brown ink.
- Clean Up - This die face reminds you to clean up your space, take an afternoon to pick up your bedroom, wipe down the living room, clean the dish pile.
- Maintain - This die face tells you to cook a meal, finish a project, and take care of yourself. Things don't ever end unless you put in the work to end them.
- Travels - There is travel ahead! Workshop loves walking a distance and settling down before the Goblin wakes up to see just how far it can get before the Gob notices!
- Crafting - Make something fun, it doesn't need to be good! Sing, dance, draw, paint! We should all make when we can, to our ability. Remind yourself that this doesn't need to be good or important, just real.
- Gathering - Make and respect your history, look at what you've collected! This can both be a reminder of your life through items, and pointing out burdens you may carry because they were given.
- Thumbs Up - Life is good, nothing wrong here! We've been missing a die face to suggest that nothing needs done for a while. Back in the first edition, there was a face on the Actions die called Harmony, which could mean you were uneasy when things were okay, or more that nothing needed to be done. But it was taken away in the second edition. This is its return!
Ain't that fun?
Also, I will be vending this weekend for Denver Witches Ball. Maybe I'll see some of ya there,
